Samsung Might Provide Display for Apple iPad 2

Last Year, in November Samsung demoed its Super PLS (Plain-to-line-switching) display, which gained lots of attention from all over the world and especially Apple has shown its interest in Super PLS LCD display. Now, the fresh rumors suggest that Samsung is going to supply LCD displays to Apple for its iPad 2.

Samsung’s Super PLS display is going to replace Apple’s IPS. Apple decided to switch from IPS to SPLS technology because, this technology brings greater viewing angles and is 10% brighter and 15% cheaper to manufacture.
A new report claimed that Apple’s upcoming iPad 2 could trade its “In-Plane Switching” (IPS) display for a new “Super Plane to Line Switching” (PLS) display for improved viewing angles.

The iPad 2 is expected to launched during this year and it is busy in making its way to come out with more buzzing news every second, but still there is no official announcement made from Apple’s side.
