HCL ME Android Tablet With Price

HCL Infosystems has unveiled three new ME tablets, that run run on Android 2.2 Froyo.

The HCL ME tablets will be available in 7-inch and 10-inch screen sizes and come in three models — the HCL ME AE7, HCL ME AM7, and the HCL ME AP10A tablet. These three model tablets are aimed at different consumers – the HCL ME AE7 is aimed at economy users, HCL ME AM7 for the mainstream users and the HCL ME AP10A for business users.

All new ME tablets run Google Android 2.2 Froyo update and it doesn’t seem like all of them will get the Gingerbread update.
The HCL ME Tablets will be priced at “three price points”: Rs. 14,990, Rs. 25,790 and Rs. 32,990. The entry-level price point of Rs. 14,990 significantly undercuts other Android tablets offered in the market right now — Samsung Galaxy Tab, OlivePad, and Dell Streak.

One major downside will be the HCL ME tablet only comes with Android 2.2 and not Android 3.0. Let’s wait and watch this Made-in-India tablet will be a buzz or not.
