How to Update Your HTC EVO 4G, Yourself Easily


Earlier, Sprint had posted that an update was on the way for the HTC EVO 4G  smartphone. Certain virus fixes which contain calendar event edit issues & syncing of multiple gmail accounts would consequence to the release of the updated version named 3.29.651.5.
The update is lastly here & awaiting download. For users whose devices are not displaying every update screen won’t need to sit back & feel sad, as we convey you a few easy steps in order to make an update.
Follow the steps below & get your HTC EVO 4G is updated:
1. Manually download the update [Link here].
2. Rename the file to updatenew.zip as a replacement for of the originally download format which might be something similar to this – OTA_Supersonic_3.29.651.5-3.26.651.6_release8yp9szc4r5dsdg85
3. Save the file to your EVO’s microSD card.
4. Reboot your phone in recovery mode.
4.1 – To reboot your phone in recovery mode, all you require to do is, turn the phone off. Then only hold the volume down button followed by pressing the power button. The phone is rebooted & displays a white screen with three Android guys.
5. Use the Volume button to select RECOVERY & press the power button once more. This will reboot your phone & ready to work in safe mode or recovery mode. A render of a phone with a red triangle & exclamation point shows that you have effectively entered the recovery mode.
6. Now Hold the ‘volume up’ button & press the power button. Choose applysdcard:updatenew.zip
Let it do the rest. After it’s done, reboot the phone.
You have now successfully updated your HTC EVO 4G. Enjoy!!!
