3 New Fast Laptop from Lenovo With Windows 7 Operating System

Lenovo has now issued a new laptop products that use windows 7 operating system.Products from Lenovo is a product that have the fast performance. As quoted in Infoworld that Lenovo has been working with Microsoft in creating the new laptops, laptop That is fast with the windows 7 operating system. This product is : Y550P IdeaPad, IdeaPad U150, and IdeaPad U550

IdeaPad Y550P (starts at $1399)

The Y550P is Lenovo's power user consumer model. Take an Intel Core i7 processor; add a 1GB nVidia GT M240 GPU, a 500GB hard drive, and a 15.6-inch, 1366-by-768-pixel panel--and you have a package that could deliver pretty decent performance. If the system's A/V doesn't deliver right off the bat, the machine hosts a OneKey Theater audiovisual optimizer. A touch-inductive SlideNav above the keyboard promises to allow easy navigation between programs and shortcuts. Of course, it's going to be a little beefy at 6 pounds and measuring 15.2 by 10 by 1.5 inches. And don't expect it to run marathons--spokespeople say that this machine should last 4 and a half hours with the battery.

IdeaPad U150 (starts at $585)

The sassy U150 just barely fits into the size range of netbooks (measuring 0.5 inch thick and weighing only 2.9 pounds), but lurking beneath the textured red or black cover is an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an 11.6-inch (1366-by-768) display, and up to a 320GB hard drive or a 64GB solid-state drive. Protecting this little guy from bumps and scrapes is something called the Active Protection System. Spokespeople say that the laptop will last up to 7 hours with the six-cell battery.

IdeaPad U550 (starts at $650)

Where the Y550 screams with all the multimedia bells and whistles, think of the IdeaPad U550 as the "strictly business" consumer machine. It offers a 15.6-inch (1366-by-768) screen, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and an integrated GPU (you can opt for a 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 GPU). It also offers switchable graphics--toggle the discrete GPU with a button press. It measures 14.8 by 9.9 by 1.16 inches and weighs 5.3 pounds. Oh, and for those that want a machine that'll literally be easier on the eyes, the U550 touts an ambient light sensor to adjust the screen for you.

Obviously, this is just a quick peek at the machines. We'll be sure to give you a more complete picture of each of these laptops as review units show up in the office.

Gateway EC Series Win7 Notebooks

All of the major manufacturers are rolling out new lines in preparation for this week's launch of the Windows 7 OS. Gateway just sent out a press release announcing the launch of their new EC series of notebooks. These new Windows 7 machines will launch alongside the OS, and feature long battery life and a very thin body.

The EC58, 54 and 14 all feature 6-8 hours of battery life, at least according to Gateway. It's anyone's guess as to how long they can last in reality. The EC58 and 54 each weigh 5.29 lbs, and run about 1" thick. Both machines feature a 15.6" LED HD widescreen display. The EC14, on the other hand, is more of a portable model. It has an 11.6" screen, full-sized keyboard, and a weight of 3.79 lbs.

The EC14 MSRPs for $549.99. It comes with a 1.3GHz Dual Core processor, an Intel GS45 graphics chipset, a 4500 MHD graphics media accelerator, 4 GB of DDR2 RAM, upgradeable to 8, and a 320 MB hard drive. The EC54 sells for $649, and packs the same hardware. All models come with 3 USB ports, multi-gesture touchpad, HDMI out, a multi card reader, and WiFi.

All in all, we seem to be looking at some pretty solid, if not groundbreaking, offerings from Gateway. The 22nd is going to be a good day for laptop shoppers.

Acer Extensa 5635Z Review

The Extensa 5635Z is a business-centric notebook, and like most business models the core visuals take a back seat to functionality. This inevitably leads to a rather plain looking notebook, and there's really nothing in the Extensa's design that truly stands out. The keyboard uses just about every last millimetre of space open to it, which enables Acer to include a number pad on a model with a 15.6-inch display screen. The flip side of that is that some of the keys are very close together, and the cursor keys suffer from being quite small and being stuck under dedicated Euro and Dollar keys.

XPS Adamo, Super Slim Laptop from Dell

Competition in the world of laptop products more intensively conducted. After a long period of products emerged Mac Book Air from Apple is very thin, Dell product appears Adamo 13's 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo in March as a challenger to the Mac Book Air from performance problems and thinness.

However, Dell was not complacent in its products that are thinner than the Mac Book Air. Recently, Dell posted a web of information about the appearance of the XPS Adamo. This series has sizes much thinner than the Adamo 13's. Adamo XPS thickness is below 10mm.

It seems that the XPS Adamo information is still a lot of secrecy. Web that shows the appearance of the XPS haya Adamo contain pictures and email verification. As reported by Electronista KabarIT from, from super-thin size is likely Adamo XPS using Intel's latest processor is CULV (Consumer Ultra Low Voltage).

CULV is Intel's latest products for products super thin laptop. CULV have the lower voltage than the Intel Atom

Sony VAIO NW VGN-NW150J Notebook Review

One of the NW Series' hipper features is the inclusion of DeviceVM's Splashtop, which enables you to hop on the Internet without having to boot Windows or even spin up the hard drive. Splashtop is a rudimentary operating system, based on Linux, that launches from the computer's BIOS. Once we'd configured the system to access our wireless network, we were surfing the Internet within 20 seconds of pushing the Web button above the keyboard.

This version of Splashtop can't access your hard drive, but you can download and store files on a device plugged into any of the NW's three USB ports. Sony ships this machine with the 64-bit version of Windows Vista Home Premium and was offering a free Windows 7 upgrade at press time.

Sony's 1.6lb. VAIO X Review

Here goes Sony claiming another world's first. If you'll recall, the company made a pretty big fuss over its VAIO P when that launched back at CES. It refused to call it a netbook (probably due to the fact that Windows Vista was loaded on), but most everyone else assumed it really was the planet's most expensive (and oddly shaped) netbook.

Now, there's the VAIO X, which Sony is using to yet again push the boundaries of what's possible in the laptop sector. Called the world's "lightest notebook," the VAIO X series weighs just 1.6lbs. and is barely over 0.5" thick. For those bad with math, that's about as thick as your BlackBerry. Yeah, wild! It's built with a carbon-fiber chassis and boasts a 16:9 aspect ratio display, and integrated Verizon Wireless 3G is included to keep you connected on the go.

The screen itself is just 11.1" diagonally, but yet again Sony refuses to label this a netbook. The scratch-resistant LCD display is LED backlit, and it ships with a standard 3.5 hour battery and a super extended battery for up to 14 hours of usage. The keyboard is the chicklet style that many companies are going to (like Asus), and the multitouch trackpad ensures that you can use your fingers to zoom in/out and rotate images. Also, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS modules are included, not to mention a quick SSD, Windows 7 Home Premium and a starting price of $1300.

It's available to pre-order in black or gold starting today, and honestly, the price is pretty reasonable given just how unique the form factor is. Too bad the 2GHz Atom Z550 won't provide enough horsepower to really show off 1080p content or heavy-duty gaming, but no one really expects that from a machine this thin, anyway.

Lenovo Ideapad U150 Review

A new Lenovo Ideapad has just been spotted, the U150. This notebook has: an 11.6-inch display, an Intel Core 2 Duo ULV CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 250GB HDD, and integrated Intel GMA X4500 graphics. According to the reports, this notebook is just 3 pounds light and is just 0.5-inches thin. It'll launch later this year, likely with Windows 7 on-board.

It looks like low power thin and light laptops 11 to 13 inch laptops could be the new netbooks. I’m on the fence as to whether these will completely replace netbooks over the next few years, but PC vendors are definitely starting to push out thin and lights like they’re the new hot thing… you know, like netbooks were last year.

The latest machine to make the scene is the Lenovo IdeaPad U150, which has an 11.6 inch display, an Intel Core 2 Duo dual core ULV processor, 2Gb of RAM, 250GB hard drive, and Intel GMA X4500 graphics.

The laptop weighs less than 3 pounds, and measures just half an inch thick at its thinnest point. According to some images PC Watch snagged at CEATAC, the U150 also has a rather odd looking texture on the chassis covering the lid and palm rest area. You can find more pictures and a price (about $770 US) at Xmit.cc.

HP Envy 13 Review

Comparisons have been made by the nattering nabobs of Appleism that the HP Envy 13 is just a knock-off of the Macbook Pro 13-inch. This is the cowards way out and I shan’t stand for it. I will look at HP’s latest notebook – don’t call it a netbook! – as a harbinger of things to come.

The Envy 13 reflects a few trends in Windows hardware. First, consumers are realizing that notebooks are garbage. They are willing to pay a premium for a more powerful computer in a sex case. Second, Windows 7 is here and it’s ready to kick posterior and jot down identifying information.

The model we tested was running Windows 7 Professional and had an Intel Core Duo 2 L9600 processor running at 2.13 GHz. It also had 3GB of 1067 Mhz memory. Its GeekBench score was 2375. To put this into perspective, this ToughBook scored 1893 and something like the MSI Wind it 837. This is, needless to say, a full-bodied machine. Battery life hit about 3 hours of movie watching

Specifications :
Processor: 2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SL9600
Memory: 3GB RAM
Storage: 250GB hard drive
Optical Drive: None
Screen: 13.1 inches (1,600x900 native resolution)
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 (512MB)
Weight: 3.7 pounds
Dimensions (HWD): 0.8x12.6x8.5 inches
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional (64-bit)
